HOW TO DEAL WITH ANXIETY PART 2

As I said in my last blog, the first and most powerful step to overcoming anxiety is to establish a

deep and meaningful relationship with your Creator. This relationship will guide you, support you, and

provide you with the strength you need to face your fears.

Your life was planned and orchestrated with a purpose. However, one cannot understand one's

purpose until one is in a relationship with one's Creator.  In the Gospel ("good news") of John in the

Bible's New Testament, there is this introduction that says "In the beginning was the word." (John 1:1).

Did you understand what is being said here? God just has to say something, and it comes into being.

What God makes is good and beautiful. Look at nature, intricately designed and orderly it is. Pick

anything, a leaf, the waves of an ocean, a mountain, the way the seasons work, or our bodies work. If

there would be a deviation, no matter how small, there would be death and chaos. We can choose God's

ways, which bring long-term light, order, and harmony, or darkness, which brings short-term thrills but

ultimately leads to disaster, destruction, and, yes, anxiety.

Anxiety comes from taking on too much stimuli, information, and conflicting thoughts. It also

occurs when one is out of alignment with their Creator God to be able to sort out all the information

flooding in our lives from all directions.

Over 2,000 years ago, for 33 years,  God walked among us. He lived a perfect life, which we can't

live. Because of that perfect life, His blood can bring us back into a relationship with God. However,

we must trust God with our life. However, when we trust God, we find our purpose of being. It is like

our black-and-white lives are turned into Technicolor purposes. We have more joy, we have more

meaning, and we have an occupation and an eternal heavenly destiny. It is just too good of a

relationship for ANYONE to miss. You can start or restart this relationship by turning from

wrongdoings and thoughts and asking Jesus Christ to take over your life.  Ask to be filled with the

Holy Spirit of God, and read the words of God in the Bible...start with Psalms, Proverbs, and the New

Testament. It will not be an easy life, but it is the most meaningful and joyous life that never really

 ends.

Natural mankind has a choice, light with God or darkness with evil Satan (who is a real

force; just look around you, with the hate, confusion, and chaos). The first Christians were first called

people of "The Way", meaning they were people who pointed to 'The Way" to real life that transcends

physical death. Look through 'Foxes Book of Martyrs', and be amazed at how calm these believers

 were when facing death.

Anxiety needs to be dealt with first by getting right with one's Creator—Jesus Christ. No matter

where you are from, you were formed in your mother's womb by Jesus Christ. You are no accident.

You matter to God, no matter how you feel. Don't go by feelings; they are fickle and will lead you

astray. In the book of the Hebrew prophet Jeremiah (called the "weeping prophet", because during his

lifetime, nobody learned from him). He said,

"The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked:

Who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind,

Even to give every man according to his ways,

According to the fruit of his doings." (Jeremiah 17: 9-10)

Do not "follow your heart" as the world says, it will just lead you into destruction. Follow God.

Satan will fight this decision even after you make it, but if you follow God's plans, you really cannot

 go wrong.

Whew, long blog again, I WILL give some physical advice on dealing with anxiety, but it will have

to wait till my next blog. I am open to respectful conversation.
